David H. Johnson, Managing Principal in Mohr Partners’ Denver office, has over 22 years of national commercial real estate experience; he is an industry veteran that brings proven expertise to strategic real estate planning and deal structuring involving the acquisition, disposition, investment and development of commercial real estate.
Johnson’s professional experience includes four years as the founder and president of Johnson Real Estate Advisors, Inc. (“JREA”), a commercial real estate advisory firm with offices in Denver and Tampa and the last two years with Radius Commercial Real Estate, a Denver-based boutique tenant representation firm. Prior to starting JREA, Dave was with the Denver office of Ernst & Young LLP, where he spent seven years in their national real estate advisory practice working on behalf of owners and users of commercial real estate.
Throughout his career, Johnson has advised many well-known private and public companies as well as state and federal agencies, and has managed and completed transactions in excess of $1.0 billion. In addition, he has conducted market and feasibility studies, occupancy and operating expense reviews on behalf of government agencies and private sector owners and users.
From 2006-2009, Johnson was the exclusive corporate real estate advisor to WellCare Health Plans, Inc. a NYSE traded health maintenance organization headquartered in Tampa, FL. Over that period, he negotiated over 700,000 square feet of office lease transactions throughout the U.S., including their approximately 400,000 square foot Tampa headquarters. In addition, Mr. Johnson has been a real estate advisor to the Colorado State Land Board, where he has focused on monetizing various Denver metropolitan area infill land holdings.
