MOHR PARTNERS AGGRESSIVELY EXPANDS MINNESOTA OFFICE
Thursday, October 29, 2009
Mohr Partners, Inc., an international corporate real estate advisor, recently announced significant second quarter activity with its office in Minneapolis, Minnesota with the addition of its newest portfolio client, The MENTOR Network, a national network of local human services providers, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.
Mohr recently augmented its presence in Minneapolis with the addition of Stuart Ackman as Managing Director, joining Managing Director Clint Baer in leading the Minnesota office. The two real estate veterans bring nearly 50 years of combined experience, nationally and locally to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Ackman's real estate experience in Minneapolis-St. Paul traces back over twenty years with such firms as The C. Chase Company, Grubb & Ellis and Coldwell Banker/Clark. Most recently Ackman served as a Vice President for The C. Chase Company where his specialties included advisory and brokerage services to corporations and individuals, build-to-suit projects, Tenant/Buyer representation and land assembly. He is a graduate of Breck School in Minneapolis and of Occidental College in Los Angeles, California.
"I am excited to join Mohr Partners. Mohr employs a very unique model in this industry in representing only tenants, rather than serving both sides of the street as most providers do by representing landlords and tenants. We provide clients with a strategic platform to optimize their processes and real estate assets, locally, nationally and, ultimately, globally."
Baer joined Mohr Partners as Managing Director of the Minnesota office in 2003. A Vietnam veteran, he has been in the real estate business since 1986 with experience in development, project management and facilities management. He has an MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Business, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colby College in Maine and a Master of Arts degree from Indiana University. Baer is a Licensed Broker in the State of Minnesota, and is a past president and former member on the Board of Directors for the Midwest Chapter of CoreNet Global, the leading association for corporate real estate executives and other firms associated in the corporate real estate field.
"We are positioning the Minneapolis-St. Paul office to expand the depth of services to our clients," said Clint Baer. "We will continue to work strategically with our clients to reduce occupancy costs, increase capital, and improve operational efficiencies and processes that will increase the value of their real estate portfolios."
"We are experiencing growth geographically as well as in all segments of our business," said Ted Fredericks, President of Mohr Partners. "We have targeted several additional markets for expansion in the near future as we continue to extend our reach in those areas where we can add the most value to our clients."
