Mohr Partners Continues Jonathan’s Place Support as Presenting Sponsor for Upcoming Events
October 17th, 2013 | Press Releases
Mohr Partners, Inc. is pleased to announce that it will partner with Jonathan’s Place as the presenting sponsor for the upcoming 14th Annual Jonathan’s Place Golf Classic (November 4, 2013) and next year’s 3rd Annual “A Chance to Soar” luncheon (April 29, 2014).
Jonathan’s Place was the first licensed foster group home in Texas for drug-addicted babies and small children. They have since expanded their mission and now provide emergency residential care services to abused, abandoned and neglected children. Their facility was created and is operated by the Kid Net Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 1991 by Dallas resident Lisa Matthews and Phil Matteis to provide specialized services and housing to at-risk children in Dallas County and throughout the state.
Mohr Partners has sponsored Jonathan’s Place for over seven years, committing resources by allowing its associates time off to visit the cottage and planning fun activities throughout the year for the children. Mohr associates donate over 350 hours annually working with the children and have raised more than $83,000 in cash donations.
Additionally, Mohr sponsors Easter and Christmas parties annually where Mohr associates contribute items for the event such as Easter baskets, candy, toys, clothing and other items to ensure the children receive gifts and are not forgotten at these special times of the year. Several times a year Mohr associates visit the cottages for fun events, donating supplies necessary for maintaining the homes. Throughout the year, Mohr associates sponsor fundraisers to raise money for which Mohr Partners, as a company, matches all donations.
Mohr Partners has sponsored the Annual Jonathan’s Place Golf Classic every year since 2007. At the event, Mohr Partners associates volunteer to help set-up, tear down, and serve players throughout the day. Mohr also has two teams participating that consist almost entirely of charity committee members and other associates and executives who have participated with Jonathan’s Place events throughout the year.
Earlier this year, in acknowledgment of Mohr Partners’ service, Jonathan’s Place formally recognized the company at its 2nd Annual “A Chance to Soar” luncheon and appointed Jennifer Norris, Managing Principal at Mohr Partners, to its Board of Directors.
“We are incredibly grateful to be able to give to Jonathan’s Place,” said Mrs. Norris. “It is so important for our team to have a place where we feel we can make a huge difference.”
“Our children have gone through some of the most horrible abuse imaginable, and we are so thankful to Mohr Partners for providing them with beautiful holiday memories,” said Allicia Frye, CEO of Jonathan’s Place. “We have the responsibility to help these children and are inspired by the generous support we receive from Mohr Partners.”
“We are thankful for the opportunity to continue to support and sponsor events on behalf of Jonathan’s Place,” said Bob Mohr, Chairman and CEO at Mohr Partners. “We first began working with Jonathan’s Place in 2007 and it was been a very rewarding relationship. Our employees get so much more out of it than they put in.”
“We pride ourselves on giving back to local charities, and Jonathan’s Place in particular has been a special relationship for Mohr Partners and our associates,” said Ted Fredericks, President at Mohr Partners. “It is a privilege for us to work with Jonathan’s Place and we look forward to our continued partnership for many years to come.”
